A little about us…

Roland Coombes has over 20 years experience in recruitment and is both the Director and Recruitment Manager of Short-List and the umbrella group, itouch professional solutions.

“Way back in 1997, I joined Reed Accountancy in the UK as a Recruitment Consultant. Within 2 years I rose to the ranks of “Top Permanent Recruiter” (1st out of 3,000+ recruiters) and held the position for 2 years running, gaining recognition across the industry and by James and Alex Reed alike (the founders of Reed Plc).

In 2001, I moved to Australia and enjoyed a similar success story with what was then Jonathan Wren (an Adecco specialist brand), also retaining the spot as their No.1 Recruiter. I then moved to management, and was responsible for their Sydney operations and training other recruiters to become hugely successful. I then set up itouch solutions, a career services business, and in 2015, I rolled out Short-List (my freelancing recruitment arm).

Over the years, I have managed thousands of campaigns, working with several leading ASX and FTSE 2000 clients through to small SMEs (5-100+ staff). Today, my motivation to fill each and every role remains the same, and I take great pride in the relationships I build with my clients, which I see as a long-term recruitment partnership.”
